April 2011 / Historical Visualisations of the former Bach House and its successor >
Prof. Dr. Blobel and the Friends of Dresden commissioned the Dresden architect office Hummel (Architecture and Planning) to produce historical visualisations of the location of the former Bach house. On the one hand, they show the last photographically documented appearance of the Bach house successor, “Hotel Erbprinz” at its authentic location (1803, by overlapping the facades of the original Bach house and the building to its right), and on the other hand – as a reconstruction attempt – they show visualisations of a facade, as it may have looked during Bach’s lifetime.
